Last week Clay raised $40m at $1.25b (with just $30m ARR!).
The bootstrapper in me is so dumbfounded by this move that I’m bringing Co-Founder Varun Anand on our live show Tues to grill him on it.
Here’s what I’m going to ask:
1/ Why would you raise this when you didn’t spend the last $60m? (and don’t need it)
2/ Why would you take your valuation even HIGHER (raising the bar for outcome even higher)
3/ Are you concerned about what Max Altschuler posted on LI today?
