I want to be crystal clear: the advice I give is NOT for founders who think they're creating unicorns, decacorns, or the next Anthropic.
If you believe you're building a unicorn or decacorn and you're sitting here reading my posts or emails... the probability that actually happens is close to zero.
My goal is to show people - through my own actions - that beautiful tech businesses can be created outside the VC ecosystem.
The type of businesses that would die or become zombies if they took VC - because they got pushed to go harder than they should have.
My goal is to stop a few founders from unknowingly signing up for a 10-year commitment to a low-paying job and reporting to a board and uncaring VC investors, instead of taking the bootstrapped path themselves, going slower, but eventually hitting escape velocity and getting the one thing we all wanted in the first place: FREEDOM.
Freedom doesn't come from a $30bn raise.
It comes from $10m ARR.
That's the FU money of bootstrapping.
